LOCTITE® 515 is a form-in-place anaerobic curing flange sealant. It cures when confined between tightly mated metal surfaces with air excluded. It seals tight joints between rigid metal mating faces and flanges, and flexes to accommodate slight flange displacement.
It can withstand low pressure right after flange assembly. It is commonly applied as a formed-in-place gasket for pumps, thermostats, compressors, transmission housings and axle covers.
This product fluoresces under ultraviolet light, enabling visual inspection of the seal bead.
